DAY 1
Tbilisi International Airport – Tbilisi International Airport
Tbilisi old city tour – The capital of Georgia, which has a colourful history as one of the world’s
oldest settlements, is situated on the banks of the Mtkvari river. Because of its location, it is a
crossroads between Asia and Europe. The sulphur bathes in the old town of Tbilisi have played a
vital role in the city’s history. The capital itself boasts a mix of several different types of
architecture, including Medieval, Neoclassical and Modern, as well.During our city tour we will visit
Metekhi Chrch and Metekhi Plateau, fortress Narikala (IV C), Abanotubani (Baths district)
Leghvtakhevi and botanical gardens – area which once was the part of royal gardens. Also Tbilisi
Mosque and Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral, pedestrian area – Sharden street and Iron and cotton
streets, also Erekle II street, bridge of peace – sample of modern architecture and oldest church of
Tbilisi – Anchiskhati (VI C). The oldest part of the city ends next to the old walls of the city, where
there is a famose marionette theatre names Rezo Gabriadze

DAY 2
David Gareji Monasteri St. David Lavra – David Gareji monastery complex is located in
Kakheti region, The foundation of monastic centre in the first half of 6th century in the Gareji desert
is connected with the name of one of the 13 Assyrian Fathers, St. David named Garejeli and his
disciples Lukiane, Dodo and others. Along with the Lavra founded by St. David Garejeli, they laid
the foundation of the monasteries of Virgin (Dodos Rka) and St. John the Baptist
(Natlismtsemeli).The complex includes hundreds of cells, churches, chapels, refectories and living
quarters hollowed out of the rock face.
Bodbe Monastery – Bodbe Monastery is located near cozy city of Sighnaghi, and it’s one of the
major pilgrimage sites in Georgia, due to its association with St. Nino, the 4th-century female
evangelist of Georgians, whose relics are shrined there. The Monastery is overlooking over Alazani
Valley and and have wonderful views on Caucasus mountains.
Sighnaghi – Sighnaghi is also a small town in Kakheti. It is located on a hill that overlooks the
Alazani valley. Town is fortified with a wall built in the 18th century with no less than 28 towers.
The name of the town is linked with Old Turkish word of syghynak, which means shelter. Sighnaghi
became popular touristic destination during last years because its unique architecture and beautiful
view from the city walls. In Sighnaghi, you can find the Wedding House, which works for 24 hours,
every day. That is the reason Sighnaghi is often referred as “The City of Love.”

DAY 3
Jvari – Jvari monastery, which is located on the top of a small hill opens a fascinating view on
the old capital of Georgia – city of Mtskheta (9 km from the monastery). In the prehistoric epoch this
was the place of a pagan deity. However after declaring of christianity the state religion in Kartli, a
cross (in Georgian “jvari”), symbol of a new religion, has been erected there later followed by a
church in the V-VI centuries AD. It is the first cross-domed church in Georgia and is included into
the UNESCO List of the World Cultural Heritage.
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – Svetitskhoveli, which is located in Mtskheta at a distance of 24 km
from Tbilisi is one of the most sacred places in Georgia. This is the place where the first wooden
church of Georgia has been built immediately upon declaring of Christianity the state religion in the
year 337. Current impressive cathedral was erected here in the 11th century. It remained the biggest
churchuntil the 21st century in Georgia. According to the legend, the cathedral is built at the location
where the shroud of Christ has been buried. Over the centuries the church has been seriously
damaged and restored several times. Currently it is on the UNESCO List of the World Cultural
Heritage.
Zhinvali Reservoir – Zhinvali Water Reservoir is one of the most beautiful places in Georgia
and attracts many tourists, because of it breathtaking views. Its surface area is 11.5 km² and the
maximum depth is 75 m. The reservoir is of great importance for the water supply of the city of
Tbilisi, it supplies drinking water to about half of the population of Tbilisi.
Ananuri Fortress – On the road to Gudauri and Stephantsminda, on your right you can see a
beautiful castle complex – Ananuri fortress located on the banks of the river Aragvi. Ananuri was
the seat of the dukes of Aragvi during 13th century but the fortress itself is dated back to 17th
century.
Within the complex, amongst other buildings there are two churches. It dates from the first half of
the 17th century. The larger Church of the Mother of God was built in 1689.

DAY 4
Panorama Gudauri – Panorama is located on the Georgian Military Highway nearby the ski
resort Gudauri the monument is a large round stone and concrete structure overlooking the Devil’s
Valley in the Caucasus mountains. The monument was built in 1983 in honor of friendship between
Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. Inside the monument is a large tile mural that depicts scenes of
Georgian and Russian history.
Gergeti Trinity Church – Gergeti Trinity church is one of the best examples of Georgian
Church Architecture which can be found in the mountains of Georgia. The church built on the top of
the hill overlooks Stepantsminda and offers fascinating view on the Mount Mkinvari. Gergeti Trinity
Church is the must see place for all visitors coming to Georgia.
Gveleti waterfall – Gveleti waterfall is located in the mountains of the Great Caucasus near
Stepantsminda and is one of the best places to have a leisure short walk in the beautiful nature on the
area.
Darial Gorge – The Darial Gorge is a river gorge on the border between Russia and Georgia. It is
at the east base of Mount Kazbek, south of present-day Vladikavkaz. The gorge was carved by the
river Terek, and is approximately 13 kilometres long with the beautiful road surrounded by granite
walls of the gorge that riches more than 1800 meters high

DAY 5
Cultural heritage Uplistsikhe GEO – Uplistiskhe – an ancient rock-hewn town, 10km away
from Gori. It is one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. Here one can find fascinating
remaining of ancient roman theatre and pagan tamales.
Chateau Mukhrani Winery – Chateau Mukhrani Winery
Borjomi Central Park – Central historical park of Mineral Waters – mineral waters park is the
place, where the history of modern Borjomi starts. Here you can visit the first spring, which was
discovered by Russian militaries in 19th century, the first mineral water’s factory and enjoy the walk
along the river Borjomula in the park, which is the real forest.

DAY 6
Cultural Heritage. Vardzia Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve – Vardzia was built in
the XII Century by Georgian Kings George the III and his daughter Tamar and is the biggest among
3 cave towns which still exist in Georgia.
After visiting Vardzia we will drive to Akhaltsikhe
Akhaltsikhe Rabat fortress – We will drive to Akhaltsikhe and visit Rabath fortress in
Akhaltsikhe. The Rabati Castle is found in the center of Akhaltsikhe and overlooks nearly every
corner of the town for centuries. Founded in the 9th century when it was originally known as Lomsia
(“lion”), the fortress exhibits a unique blend of Christian and Islamic architecture. Tamerlane and his
army swept through Akhaltsikhe in the 14th century, though the fortress did not meet its end. The
fortress was also at the forefront of attacks by Persian forces and an 18th century Russo-Turkish war.
After the recent and extensive restorations in 2010, the Rabati Castle is the shiny centerpiece of
Akhaltsikhe. A visit is an educational experience as it reconstructs numerous aspects from the
medieval period
